Peace: Your Souls Purpose

There are some great practitioners that have graced us with their presence and today I had the pleasure of going to Reverent Lisa Aschoff's meditation course — Peace: Your Souls Purpose.
She has been traveling and found a few locations in the Portland Oregon Metro area to share her gifts.

Today I entered her class with an open mind. I left feeling at peace, full of love and light. I enjoyed her presence. Her guidance of spiritual growth was exceptional.

She will continue to share her gifts in the Vancouver/Portland Metro area. Sign-up early for her next course, as they are predicted to fill quickly.

Remember to sign-up for her next course, it may be just what your soul needs.

Giving Back – How Mindful Gives Back

Mindful Magazine is giving back to
our community and to those in need globally.

Mindful donates a percentage of our advertisers' Ad costs to a select group of non-profit organizations. This project is a work in progress; the list will grow as we develop relationships with more organizations. When an ad is placed the advertiser chooses an organization that they would like to support from our listed organizations.

Mindful Magazine is giving back. We want to encourage you to give back as well. There are several ways to give back to your community:

Donating $ to a Cause
Helping a neighbor
Volunteering

We encourage you to be an example of mindfulness and pay it forward in some way, any way! Suggestions? Please comment below.

Who are you?

Part I

Are you trying to figure out where you belong in this world, what career might fit your lifestyle or rather, trying to fit your round lifestyle in a square career?

Who we are is a fundamental question we have all asked ourselves. Some are blessed with finding their career in life early, while others are just trying to make it day by day — doing what we think we're good at until our big break comes. In resent years people were working jobs they really did not enjoy and maybe the money was good, but it wasn't fulfilling.

What if someone gave you the
guidance you needed to find your true calling?

Are you intrigued? Do you think your curiosity is enough to take a quick test, just for fun?
What can it hurt? You've tried everything else.

On June 26, 2012 at 7:14:18 Wiesje Brion interviewed Simon Chokoisky
author of The Dharma Types: Secrets of the Five Ancient Castes that will Transform Your Life

Simon Chokoisky has written this ancient wisdom in a way that is easy to understand and incredibly resourceful for life. You've heard this famous Greek quote, “know thyself”

“When you know yourself then you are able to relate to the world around you.” Simon Chokoisky

Many of us have had to get creative and use our own passions and talents to develop new jobs. In turn … finding ourselves. Soul searching leads us down a spiritual path and that's a good thing!

This book is a must have!
Although this book is great for corporate America, you will discover that there is more to this book than just how it pertains to your career. It is a great guide for understanding your loved ones and how to relate to them. There is also guidance on fitness for each achetype and so much more.

Don't miss out on the interview in Mindful Magazine.

Karen Asbury on CranioSacral

Without giving our recent interview away, I'd like to talk a little about CranioSacral, but first I'd like to introduce Karen Asbury, LMT LMP. I recently interviewed Karen Asbury because she has a unique set of skills, as a massage therapist and bodyworker she incorporates Reiki and CranioSacral Therapy; integrative bodywork as she calls it.

When I first met her she was working at a crystal store, she offered me a 15 minute massages as she was promoting herself in her community. Since then, she has developed a very successful business and has become a professional resource of support for her community.

“When I received Karen's Cranial Sacral treatment, I became instantly relaxed.” Wiesje Brion.

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to interview Karen about CranioSacral and why it felt so good.

Karen replied:
“It’s really tapping into your own body’s wisdom, listening, and following. Clients drop into a very relaxed state quite quickly by accessing that slower rhythm in the body, because the cranioSacral rhythm is slower than our breathing, or certainly our heart rate, or any other system that we have. It is a very subtle rhythm that we are generally not consciously aware of, whether one knows of its existence or not. As I am following that rhythm my client’s body notices and goes, “Oh, this is a profound healing state I'm getting into.

She explains that during a CranioSacral treatment, cranial bones may also be released so they can move freely and without restriction, which also affects change in the dura mater and ease in the cranioSacral rhythm.

… In fact it releases the pressure in the brain and in the spinal bones...Part of CranioSacral is working the flow of the dura mater therefore creating change with the bones and the sutchers between the cranial bones can get restricted; so it is a release of pressure from the CranioSacral treatment.

If you loved this post, read the full interview in Mindful Magazine!

*CranioSacral is a specialty treatment given only by trained CranioSacral Therapists. For those who are interested in knowing more about training, know that there are multiple levels of training and depending on the institute, the type of training can be quite different in theory.
